McDonalds Road

Hunter Valley

In a beautiful part of the Hunter Valley Wine Region, ELK Designs was invited to be involved in the concept design for a collection of buildings to create a wonderful experience for the visitor.

The idea was to anchor the buildings into the site, using the surrounding working farms and the original coal mines as inspiration for the industrial / farmhouse form and materiality.

Each building takes advantage of their site by maximising the amazing views and the experience of being in the Hunter Valley Wine Region. The industrial farmhouse idea flows through each building in order to create a cohesive development, however each individual design explores its own individuality and function, along with the experiences it can give to the user.
