ELK outgrew our much-loved Adamstown office in 2017 which lead us to seek a space that was fresh, flexible, functional, and full of character. The new office breathes new life into an old industrial warehouse space, incorporating formal reception and meeting spaces, with a variety of work spaces and chill-out zones which encourage a light and inviting atmosphere throughout the office. Soft greys, whites and timbers are used to provide a neutral, yet warm and inviting base palette to the ELK work environment, against which to paint our company’s identity. The use of large glazing elements draw natural light and air flow into the space and provides an uplifting atmosphere in which to design, work and play.
The large open plan office space allows for flexibility and collaboration, with additional collaborative spaces distributed throughout the office enabling staff differing areas of both public and private natures in which to conduct their day-to-day activities. The Chill-Out Zone in the warehouse portion of the office encourages relaxation and healthy social interaction amongst the staff, as well as a bit of fun, this was essential to the office environment as ELK’s unique culture demands a light hearted and balanced lifestyle both at work and outside of work hours. This is also an informal area where the office can host functions and staff can attend educational events.
