Lockyer Street

Adamstown

The site at Lockyer Street presented a typical residential corner lot in a built-up area of Adamstown.  Close to Brunker Road amenities, the client required a space efficient and creative design for 3 mid-level townhouses.  The corner lot allowed the project to address 2 street frontages, creating a perceived separation between the units which increased privacy and maximised street presence on the corner.

A tasteful palette of materials drew reference from the surrounding weatherboard cottages, while modernising the street aesthetic by incorporating panelling and skillion roofs.  The overall result is a contemporary architectural aesthetic and an efficient use of site space, that when combined create a comfortable living environment for the inhabitants.
